We help Shenandoah Valley residents who are blind, who suffer from visual problems, who can not hold a book, turn pages, or focus on print material. We aim to supply daily information from local newspapers, periodicals, and magazines to approximately 10,000 individuals. Valley Voice Readers Valley Voice uses special subcarrier radios or Cable TV channels to deliver the service free of charge to listeners. We purchase the radios with money from donations and grants, then lend them to qualified individuals. The listeners then get access to the local information that they need. Within many areas the signal is available on Cable TV. Call the Valley Voice for more information. Valley Voice volunteers read full news stories from local newspapers, plus obituaries, shopping advertisements, and editorials. We take pride in bringing our listeners local information that keeps them in touch with the community. Valley Voice is many times our listeners' only source of information that you take for granted. preparing for an airshift Valley Voice relies on donations of time and money to help serve the print impaired.
