r in music. He arrived at WKXR in 1988 after work at the WCU campus station and WTHP in High Point. As the morning announcer you can hear Larry on WKXR weekday mornings from 6 until 10. He is also the Program Director and the Music Director. Bruce Trogdon began in radio after receiving a BS in Music Education from UNC - Pembroke in 1985. He can be heard Monday - Thursday evenings and many weekend afternoons. Since 1989 Tony Wright has provided play-by-play coverage of many local sporting events like Eastern Randolph High School football, Asheboro High School basketball and Post 45 American Legion baseball. Tony is a 1987 graduate of Asheboro High School and has a Degree in Radio-Television Broadcasting from Central Carolina Community College. Tom Nixon has more than thirty years experience in Triad-area radio and works a varied schedule for WKXR. Melissa has been on the air Saturday mornings since 1986, starting the weekend with your requests along with the latest news and sports. She is a graduate of UNC - Greensboro with a BA in Speech Communication with a Concentration in Broadcasting Performance.
