In an era when quality music is increasingly difficult to find on the radio, the Boston Globe has praised WHRB for retaining an “unswerving commitment to individual and adventurous programming.” WHRB is perhaps best known for inventing the musical Orgy®. Presented twice a year in January and May, Orgies are marathon-style musical programs devoted to a single composer, performer, genre, or subject. The New York Times has called them “idealistic and interesting,” adding, “the WHRB Orgies represent a triumph of musical research, imagination, and passion.” WHRB's daily programming is listed in a comprehensive Program Guide, available both by mail and online.
