World War II. KYCA was part of the Arizona Radio Network and owned by KTAR radio in Phoenix. The station was acquired by Southwest Broadcasting in 1970, and remains under that ownership today. KYCA, an affiliate of the Fox News Radio Network and Westwood One, has been a leader from day one in local, state and national news and sports coverage for the Prescott area. KYCA began the transition to full-time news-talk radio with the premiere of The Rush Limbaugh Show in 1988 (KYCA was one of the original affiliates of Rush's show) and The Dr. Dean Edell Show a few years later.
